River Ridge Hunt Camp

As you know in 2021 the MNR changed the moose tag allocation process to a point based system. With this we recognize that the higher the points a hunter has, the better chance of procuring a tag. Unfortunately with the average age of a hunter today being in their 70’s some of them are no longer able to get to their camp whether it be a 20 hour drive or camps that are remote and only access is boating or 4 wheeler.

What we have tried to do is find a Moose Hunter that wants to enjoy a hunt close to home with all the amenities you would ever want, knowing another tag under this system is not realistic.

Most people don’t want to waste a tag, but so many are on their own, maybe only a couple hunters in their group now and realize hunting a moose with 2-4 guys is difficult. Also places like Zones 49 and 47 still need 18-20 points for a bull tag ..so could be a few years off yet.

We have shot 6 moose since the new point system, and 15 points or more will likely get us an adult tag moving forward.
